Outreach Activities

The Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site maintains a map collection, a small research library, and a microfilm collection. The Sackets Harbor Battlefield Alliance maintains a digital research library containing a large number of transcribed original source documents, maps and photographs.

These materials pertain to the site’s history with most relating to the period from 1812 to the 1860’s with special emphasis on the War of 1812 on Lake Ontario.

Scholars of all ages are welcome to conduct research at the Battlefield. Research materials do not circulate. All research must be done on site. To schedule a research appointment, please contact the site manager by mail, phone or e-mail.
